Our Story

Our Story

Revive Roasters began with an organic start in Ben’s parent’s crowded laundry room at the age of 18. There were many times he would stay up overnight fulfilling orders in the laundry room on our tiny Behmor 1lb roaster. From the moment we first served our coffee at local pop-ups we felt an immediate positive response to Revive that encouraged us to keep going. Revive has come a long way since then - we met in 2022 at The Well Coffee in Stockton and our shared passion to gather people around coffee began to inspire us to dive deeper into growing Revive together. We have had the opportunity to serve coffee to the San Joaquin County Jail Inmates, displaced people in Southside Stockton, and serve coffee at the SF Coffee Festival, while also supporting local businesses that serve Revive. It brings us so much joy to continue building Revive and to have our coffee, recipes, and journals enjoyed by people around the world.

When it comes to our coffee at Revive, we guarantee delicious coffee with every bag we ship out. The first way we do this is through our thorough production process which entails: roasting weekly, cupping/tasting every batch, and measuring the coloring of the roasted coffee with the LIGHTTELLS CM-200 for QC. Secondly, we source our coffee through relationships we’ve built with people at trusted import companies. Companies such as PRIMAVERA, COVOYA, ROYAL, and SUSTAINABLE HARVEST have worked directly with farmers and co-ops for either decades or more—helping to improve the quality of their crops as well as the community’s quality of life. All the way from the sourcing at farms, to the coffee you enjoy daily from Revive, is measured by our core value — quality and detail.

We consider being out of the box in everything — continually making decisions to stand out in the way we bring people together in the community of Stockton.  We strive to not be conformed by what is trending in the coffee industry, but rather seek first meeting the needs of our customers and striving to bring a whole new kind of experience that places an emphasis on connection with others to the coffee industry. As a small business, we intentionally keep our focus on the wellbeing of our team and the needs of our community rather than pursuing growth for growth's sake.

First things first: What’s the meaning behind the name Revive?

We truly believe that coffee can bring people together. Whether it is in a home, coffee shop, pop-up, prison, or wherever Revive is found. To make a long story short, we named our company Revive because we believe coffee can bring life to communities.
