Stories: Serving the Stockton Prison Inmates

We recently had the opportunity to love our friends at the Stockton Prison by serving them coffee and hearing their stories of transformation! ​​​​​​​​

As we were serving the inmates coffee, they would come up to us and ask, “why are you even serving coffee to us today?”

When we told them the reason we decided to come to serve you today was to make sure they are reminded that they are “seen and known”, countless inmates just began to cry and say that “nobody has told them those words since 1990.”

From the inmates at the Stockton Prison to the displaced living on the streets of Southside Stockton. We believe in the power of using coffee to build intentional community in a city.​​​​​​​​
